appium-server

Version 2026.145.1302
Repo superproject

Appium 3.x WebDriver server with the uiautomator2 driver and a pinned WebView chromedriver Installs the Appium 3.x WebDriver server (CachyOS/AUR appium, binary at /usr/bin/appium) plus the uiautomator2 Android driver (per-user under ~/.appium/node_modules) and a chromedriver pinned to the API-36 google_apis_playstore System WebView (Chrome 133) at /opt/chromedriver/133, so WebView context switching works offline. Runs as the supervisord appium service on port 4723 at base-path /wd/hub. Every claim below is a file/binary on disk or an HTTP/status response from the running server, so each step is independently verifiable.

This candy’s plan: — the runnable spec charly check executes against a live deployment. check: steps are idempotent probes; run: steps change state.

Intent Step
run command=set -euo pipefail # Driver installs per-user (writes ~/.appium/node_modules). JAVA_HOME # + ANDROID_HOME come from upstream layer ENV baked into the image. export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/charly-jdk21 export ANDROID_HOME=/opt/android-sdk export PATH=“$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH” /usr/bin/appium driver install uiautomator2
run mkdir=/opt/chromedriver/${WEBVIEW_CHROMEDRIVER_MAJOR}
run download=https://storage.googleapis.com/chrome-for-testing-public/${WEBVIEW_CHROMEDRIVER_VERSION}/linux64/chromedriver-linux64.zip
run command=set -euo pipefail D=“/opt/chromedriver/${WEBVIEW_CHROMEDRIVER_MAJOR}” install -m 0755 “${D}/chromedriver-linux64/chromedriver” “${D}/chromedriver” rm -rf “${D}/chromedriver-linux64”
check the Appium WebDriver server binary is installed at /usr/bin/appium
check the installed Appium server reports a numeric version
check the uiautomator2 Android driver is installed per-user under ~/.appium
check a chromedriver binary is baked at /opt/chromedriver/133/chromedriver
check the baked chromedriver reports major version 133 matching the API-36 System WebView
check the running Appium server answers a WebDriver status request with HTTP 200
check the running server reports itself ready over the Appium status verb
