The Cua Driver binary (trycua/cua) — the background computer-use driver that
drives a desktop’s apps via the AT-SPI accessibility tree and input, with
window enumeration and screenshots. Installs the pinned release archive into
/opt/cua-driver (the binary’s aux files resolve relative to its real path, so
they stay together) and symlinks /usr/local/bin/cua-driver into it, plus the
runtime libraries the binary links against (libxi, glibc, libxkbcommon) and the
AT-SPI bus. The driver runs as a desktop-session daemon; the cua-session
candy wires that. Verifiable on the built image: the binary and its aux files
are present and cua-driver --version prints a version.
Acceptance plan
Section titled “Acceptance plan”This candy’s plan: — the runnable spec charly check executes against a live deployment. check: steps are idempotent probes; run: steps change state.
| Intent | Step |
|---|---|
run |
install the pinned Cua Driver release into /opt/cua-driver (binary + aux files together — the driver resolves aux files relative to its real path) |
run |
symlink the driver and its cursor-theme compiler onto PATH |
run |
disable Cua Driver’s default-on content-free telemetry (an unattended CI image should not phone home; the operator can re-enable it) |
check |
the Cua Driver binary and its aux files are installed together |
check |
the driver resolves its aux files and prints a version (proves the real-path aux resolution works through the symlink) |
