The guest-side fixings Cua Driver needs on a Wayland desktop: the udev rule that makes /dev/uinput group-accessible (the isolated-background-input route), and — only where netplan exists — a DHCP netplan so a cloud/containerDisk guest leases on whatever NIC the hypervisor presents (enp1s0 under KubeVirt, ens3 under QEMU). On NetworkManager distros the netplan is skipped. Verifiable on the built image: the udev rule is present and the input group exists.
Acceptance plan
Section titled “Acceptance plan”This candy’s plan: — the runnable spec charly check executes against a live deployment. check: steps are idempotent probes; run: steps change state.
| Intent | Step |
|---|---|
run |
install the uinput udev rule (the isolated-background-input route needs a group-accessible /dev/uinput) |
run |
write the DHCP netplan so a cloud/containerDisk guest leases on the hypervisor NIC (netplan distros only) |
check |
the uinput udev rule is installed (the isolated-input route needs it) |
check |
the netplan was written only where netplan exists (correct on both NetworkManager and netplan distros) |
