The Tier-1 evaluation image: the proven omarchy base plus the charly consequence checks for the live omarchy system — the Class B surface from UPSTREAM-TEST-TRIAGE.md that the shipped beds do not already assert. Upstream’s shell.d tests mock a binary and assert a CALL SEQUENCE; these assert the resulting SYSTEM STATE, which is strictly stronger — it proves the machine, not the call — and needs no upstream source tree in the guest.
The shipped beds already cover: the base image (check-omarchy-pod), the desktop (check-omarchy-desktop-vm, 102 checks), the ISO install (check-omarchy-iso-vm, 57 checks incl. vconsole/mkinitcpio/logind/ locale/chromium-policy). This box adds the remaining Class B consequences: the migration outcomes (retired-installer-artifacts, legacy-power-udev-rules, security-fido2). The checks are BUILD-context (they assert the image’s content at charly check box) and idempotent — no side effects, no upstream source tree needed.
